However, I thought I would share this new video from Trout Unlimited. Hope you enjoy and I will post the fishing trip in a few days.

Fishing The Teton River Plus A Comment
I had planned on writing a new post about fishing a beautiful small mountain lake for some hungry trout, but, I am a U.S. Army Veteran and the incident at Ft. Hood just took me out for a few days. Somethings are just not understandable!
However, I thought I would share this new video from Trout Unlimited. Hope you enjoy and I will post the fishing trip in a few days.

Didn't know you were a vet. Thanks for your service. I am a teacher that has many former students serving in the armed forces. I have even lost a former student in Afghanistan. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the duty our armed servicemen/women have done for our country both in the past and the present.
Mel I am with you and millions of other Americans in my inability to understand this kind of atrocity. We must over come our instinct to hate and find a better path for all people to follow.
Chin up and tight lines.
Hey, Mel. I served in the Army too, and that incident upsets my stomach. That kind of thing SHOULD NOT happen between brothers-in-arms. But since Sept. 11, 2001, I'll bet there is some turmoil going on within the ranks that we don't hear about. I think we'll be living with what happened that day for generations.
But maybe my diagnosis is wrong. Just a feeling I got. Most times I trust my gut.
So strange, I don't see a video.
I grew up Military family, my Papa, and I was stunned. I guess even if I hadn't grown up with a Military Dad, I would still be shocked.
Thinking of you, those families and all of our military men and woman.
Mr. Mel...
I must say that I have been to 'fishin talk' a time or two. Thanks for visiting the 'digest' lookin forward to a getting together more often over the interweb. Just lettin you know i've never fished Idaho, but someday my friend....
Fish Whisperer - Glad to see you back commenting on my blog. I agree with your comment. We had all better find a "better" path soon. Time to get a grip!
Wandering Owl - The impact will last for generations! It is terribly sad when a soldier doesn't know when to look over his shoulder for fear his comrad's are his enemy. I agree trust your gut.
Matt T- Amen my friend. Our troops should be in our thoughts everyday. Not just on Veterans Day or when a tragedy raises its ugly head.
Rebecca - Sorry, I don't understand why you don't see the video. Thank you for your comforting thoughts in light of what has happened at Ft. Hood.
R. Hurd - Welcome to Idaho Fishin' Talk and thanks much for leaving a comment. They are always welcome.
